At the Purple Fiddle
Performing at the Purple Fiddle in Thomas, West Virginia, last weekend was a pleasure. The staff warmly welcomed us, keeping us fueled both days with scrumptious lunches and enormous ice cream cones (our favorite: mocha chip with cookies and cream). The audiences included folks from near and far – Baltimore, Charleston, Harrisonburg, Keyser, Winchester. We loved the Purple Fiddle’s respectful, friendly environment and comfortable acoustic performance space.
Between shows we explored Blackwater Falls State Park. The falls were thundering with spring rainwater, and we followed muddy tracks through hushed, moss-covered glades of sunlit hemlock and fallen birch logs. We got a taste of life on the road, and look forward to more adventures.
